No funny line, and not fun topic.
The day after the exhibition in Piteå, Elina discovered something was wrong with Nick. . Veterinarian was contacted and they thought he was exhausted after matings with Troya and the showing. On Monday he seemed better, but during the night to Wednesday, he became extremely ill and Elina for rapidly to the vet. It was found that he was very low in temperature was sent in hast to a large veterinary hospital in Gammelstad in Luleå.
When he came in he did not produce any urine from his kidneys. Testing was done on ethylene glycol poisoning and Elina went with the sample directly to the hospital for testing. The test showed positive for ethylene glycol, but it had gone to far so nothing was to do for our very special boy. Now the results from autopsy has come and also there were plenty of calcium oxalate in a crystalline form that is shown in that sort of intoxication.
We were of course all extremely shocked and extremly sad and it all happened so very, very fast.
We think much of Elina who had to experience this in more close quarters than us.
